A VISIT FROM KAREN STEVENS 08/09
We had the pleasure of yet another visit from the author of Haunted Montana....Karen Stevens. We met at Chili's where we had a very eventful lunch. She told us of some very lucrative investigation sites, which I am currently checking into. She had an interview with Kranz and the Chouteau County Library which she had invited my husband and myself to. We decided since she was here we might as well take her on a mini investigation at Kranz, where we did get some EVP's and the little girl whom we call Mary counted in the back shop area from 0 to 9 and back again. This has become a common occurence with Mary. After we were done at Kranz we headed up to Fort Benton where we were to do the investigation at the library. We had a very nice dinner while we were waiting for the rest of the team to show up. Again talking about our experiences and future investigations. Karen was staying at the Grand Union Hotel and Cheryl the owner happened to be working so we visited with her and she told us of things that have happened since we were there last spring...2008. We are invited back up to do the hotel sometime this fall. From the stories I think we are in for a great time.

Just finished reveal, we will be posting a photo soon for this residence we investigated. Although we did not find much on our first visit we were invited back to do further studies in the house and will continue to seek out more answers.
ELMORE RESIDENCE REVISITED 08/09
We were called back to the Elmore residence because they started having activity again. After the interview we found out that they had invited a friend in that may have something attached to her. She has been involved with black magic and verious things. This in conjunction with the fact that they live across the street from a cemetary probably doesn't help the situation. We found that there is a little boy who has lived on the land for more years than the house has been there. We caught him on our thermal camera. There is a not so nice spirit that comes in from the cemetary every once in awhile. We have suggested that she make an appointment with Jan to talk about her house and what she can do to rid it of the unwanted spirits.
JENKINS RESIDENCE 06/09
We investigated the Jenkins residence of Fort Benton in June. Altough one of our investigators got sick everytime they went into a certain room as of now we do not have enough evidence to say it is inhabited. There was so much bleed through in the house, the stairs going downstairs were right above the stairs going upstairs and everything echoed. We could hear the people downstairs through the floor.We are not saying one way or the other about this one it needs further attention.

We were asked to visit the Lembo residence in May. He told us of phantom knocking on the doors and the feeling of someone in the house. He didn't feel like they were there to harm anyone just curious is all. When we went out to the house he gave us a box that he found buried under the house when he was doing some work. It belonged to the previous owners. That box was full of personal pictures reciepts and things that were meant for the family. I told Rich that he needed to return all of the contents to the family. We did the investigation and picked a few EVP's but the best thing was a full body apparition walking outside the house. At first we thought it was the sun until we analyzed it. We slowed it down and compared it to other views. To top it off a few minutes later one of our team thought she saw a man sitting at the picnic table not far from where we caught the apparition. She had told us of this right after it happened and at least 2 days before we knew about the apparition on the video. We will be posting videos as soon as we work out a bug we have with our blackbox system.

We investigated the England residence in Fort Benton in May 2009. We had a very eventful evening both inside and out.We will be posting a video that we got on the EVP and Video page. We also got strange light anamolies around the kitchen sink area which coincides with Linda hearing the water running in the kitchen only to find it turned off upon checking. The England house is located on the Hoo Doo Alley. It is said that the jail was right next door and the gallows were in the Englands back yard. There was a well that they called Golgotha that they would throw all the dead ...and not so dead down behind the gallows. Judging from the responses on the EVP and Ghost Box we feel that this may be the case. For more history of the Hoo Doo Alley read Jack Lepleys book, BIRTHPLACE OF MONTANA A HISTORY OF FORT BENTON. We did find alot of powerlines and a transformer across the alley from the England house but they did not make our EMF's or our K2 meters go off.One of our group did get quite a few readings aproxamately where the well was said to be. These readings were waist high, when the EMF was raised to the powerlines nothing. When it was lowered to the ground nothing. It is this teams opinion that the England residence and surrounding area are indeed inhabited. We have asked Linda if we could come back and investigate further and her reply was most definatly. We will be going back at a future date.
MORGER RESIDENCE 05/09
We investigated the Morger residence in Fort Benton in May 2009.Where their house sets used to be the 1st jail of Fort Benton. Although we did not find any proof that their house was inhabited we had a great time. Muncie was so hospitable and even had coffee and lemon bars for us after the investigation. Thank you Muncie and Wally for inviting us into your home and giving us more history on Fort Benton.

The Elmore place was indeed "inhabited". They live in the country outside of Great Falls. We found a number of these strange orange lights all around their property.In one picture we found what looked like a canoe leaning up against a tree but there was nothing there. They live right by the sun river could it be remanents of Indian life in the past? They have invited us back in the future to do further investigation on the property. We are truly looking forward to this as their place is very intrigueing.
MURPHS BOWLING ALLEY 01/09
Although we didn't find anything paranormal about Murphs we did have a great time debunking a few things. In the back room there was said to be a spirit of the guy who would work on the alley. His presence was felt whenever you were back there. We found very high EMF's that were very much above the norm and a chemical room full of paint solvents and cleaning supplies. This and the fact that it is a very small space contributed to a fear cage affect.
CASCADE COUNTY COURTHOUSE 01/09
We did not find any evidence that the Cascade County Court House was inhabited. We did have a great time at the couthouse.
LOBBy BAR TRAINING 01/09
We have booked the Lobby Bar for training purposes for our new people. We would like to thank Carl for his generosity in opening his doors to us for training. This trip we thought was going to be unevenyful until we were getting ready to leave We were in the last room on the left on the second floor of the hotel when Tonya asked for anyone to give us a sign, we heard what sounded like a door opening and went to the hall to find the fire exit door was indeed open and we could see the cold air rushing in. I went to the door to see if anyone had been outside and there were no footprints on the freshly fallin snow. I guess the trip was worth it after all Dawn Tonya Jeff and myself went away knowing that we experienced something out of the ordinary....the paranormal!

January 2nd: We were asked back to the Ibsen residence by Sarah. She has had further experiences along with her husband and children. We went back in hopes of finding answers. We think we may have found a few.

KRANZ FLOWERS AND GIFTS ANNIVERSARY PARTY 11/08
We have been asked back to Kranz to investigate after the Haunted House to see if there is any change in atmosphere.
What the MAPS members did not know was we had an alterior motive. We made this a mandatory investigation for all of the members and all but 2 showed up...boy were they surprised when Rose led us all upstairs to a party for our 1st year anniversary. She also had something in store for us..... a sizeable donation from Kranz.
SVINGEN RESIDENCE 10/08
We have been asked to investigate the Svingen residence. In our research we found that their were Native American encampments around the area of the Svingen residence at one point in history. Although their house is fairly new we feel the spirits are attached to rhe land. They seemed to interact with us on several occasions throughout the evening. There was a toy vacuum that went off twice while we were down in the basement. Upon checking this out we found that the only way that it goes off is if the wheels are turned. There was no one remotely by the vacuum. While upstairs Debbie and Michelle felt cold spots on their backs as they were doing EVP work. We captured this on the thermal camera. We would have to say it is an intelligent haunt. Although it is bothersome to the Svingens we assured them that they mean them no harm. We are here for them whenever they need us.

CASCADE COUNTY COURTHOUSE 10/08
We will be investigating the Cascade County Court House in October. There was entirely to much activity going on at the Court House of the human nature. We could not conduct our investigation properly as the cleaning crew was there. We have been asked to come back in January during the holidays when the cleaning crew will be gone.

BEACON ICE HOUSE 09/08
We went Freakin at the Beacon last night and altough it seemed quite upstairs there was something amiss in the basement. We will be going over evidence so stay tuned to find out if the Beacon was Freakin back. We did the reveal at the Beacon and Mauri & Chris have asked us back to further our studies. We did find some mysterious Thermal images in the basement and the lights in the mens bathroom kept turning on by themselves. Although it was not enough evidence to say it was haunted there is certainly activity there that cant be explained. We had a great time there and look forward to going back again soon
HIGHLAND CEMETARY 09/08
We will be out amongst the dead this weekend. Altough we had a blast the night we were at the cemetary we did not find any evidence to prove anyone was there but the owls and bats. We did get some cool pictures of headstones and were glad to have the experience.
TOREN RESIDENCE 09/08
Tammies husband Dave Franz died in January of this year. She thought that maybe he was in her house. We did get some evidence that she is sure was him trying to contact her. We also got some strange breathing, laughing and sounds in her daughters room.

We had the pleasure of investigating Fisher Radio in Great Falls last night. We had a blast. Thank you Sarah and the crew at Fisher Radio for making us feel so welcome. CHOTEAU COUNTY LIBRARY 08/08
It is this teams opinion that the Chouteau County Library in Fort Benton, Mt is inhabited with an Intelligent Spirit. While testing the Singapore Theory* we got what looked like dancers keeping time to the Pow Wow music that we had playing on the CD Player. We also had an experience where our camera case came flying off of a chair 3 different times. Jill had a simalar case on the very chair that ours flew out of all day long and nothing happened to hers.
* Singapore Theory is when you play music from a specific period that you believe is the era that the spirit is from. It is believed that the spirits will respond to music of their era.

We investigated Kranz on August 12. The owners of Kranz have a haunted house each year in their business. They donate all proceeds to local charities. This year while touring the haunted house why not bring your camera or recorder you never know what you might find! We did capture a childs voice in the basement of Kranz and also in the back workshop. We got quite a few strange noises throughout the shop. We also got strange mists in the greenhouses. While 2 of our investigators were upstairs in the breakroom the dishwasher started running. Upon trying to figure out why it would start running when no one had turned it on they discovered it was in the off position. It ran for no longer then 1 minutes then quit.During this time the computer brought up windows media player and randomly started scanning thru different songs the first being the Twilight Zone. During our investigation on our anniversary 4 of us were in the break room including Rose the owner and while we were talking about what the diswasher had done before it again started the wash cycle. It ran for only a few seconds then quit. It again was turned off. We checked the dishwasher it is an older one. It was definately off there is no timer function and the dishes inside were cleaned and Rose said it was turned on at 1 pm. picture
VIRGINIA CITY / NEVADA CITY 07/08
We had a great time down at Nevada City/ Virginia City. After fixing a flat just 5 miles out of town we met up with Arlene. We took the self guided tour and all went our seperate ways. We caught something in a mirror at the Sedman House but it is still being looked at. We will let you know what we find. I think everybody should go and see this little bit of history. Its a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
MONTANA STATE PRISON 07/08
We had the pleasure of doing an investigation of the Old Montana State Territorial Prison in Deerlodge, Mt. After reading and researching we knew we were going into a haunted property. We went there to record whatever evidence we might be able to find. Although some of it is inconclusive and we would love to go back to try to debunk it we did get some rather interesting disembodied voices.

LOBBY BAR /KAREN STEVENS INTERVIEW 04/08
Author Karen Stevens was in town and wrote and asked if we could meet with her. We decided since she wanted to include a chapter about the Lobby Bar in her next book that it would be fitting to take her there.
JONES RESIDENCE 03/08
It is this teams opinion that the Jones residence is not haunted. Their house had alot of open junction boxes in the basement that caused them to have a feeling of being watched and uneasiness in the basement. We did get high EMF readings due to the old wiring and open boxes.
LOBBY BAR TRAINING 02/08
We had a blast at the Lobby as we always do. We picked up a strange shadow on our video camera and the motion detector went off upstairs when nobody was there. We also experienced a door that we could not move without lifting up on it closing more than once. There were high EMF readings in the basement and also upstairs on the 2nd floor of the hotel where the old electrical panel is. The readings were from 3 to off the chart. This could attribute to the feeling of someone watching us.

It is this teams opinion that the Wood residence has poltergeist activity. We feel through research and investigation it also has a little girl and a boy who once lived in the downstairs and now occupies the garage. Through trial and error we feel that the cause of this picture is due to the cameras shutter getting stuck open. We found simalar pictures taken with the same camera and the problem has been rectified.
