This picture was taken as a reinactment of the Lady in White who did hang herself in the basement of the Lobby Bar. We happened to get a shadow in the process. We made $794.00 total and after all costs to throw the event were paid we made $162.50 profit which Carl the owner of the Lobby Bar only wanted $50.00 that left us with $112.50. We collected $150.00 more after the event for a total of $262.50 that we presented to The American Cancer Society. All canned goods collected were given to the Great Falls Food Bank
Halloween night was a great success and we had loads of fun. The tours were fantastic and we hope everyone went away with a better knowledge of the Lobby Bar. Our investigation went well. We started with Kenny doing an EMF sweep of the Davenport Hotel. EMF-Electro Magnetic Field- Electric fields are caused when you plug something into an outlet, lets say a lamp. The Electic Field is in the area around the lamp. The higher the voltage of the light the higher the Electric Field. This field occurs even when the lamp is turned off. Magnetic Fields become present when you turn the lamp on. Then you will get the EMF readings. The higher the voltage the greater the EMF readings. Once you unplug the lamp it no longer emits an Electric Field but the outlet will still give you readings. We have investigated a few places where the wiring was old and not well insulated this to will emit higher than usual EMF readings. The Lobby Bar / Davenport Hotel being one such place. High EMF readings can give you feelings of being watched, paranoia, creepiness and even sickness. Many employees have stated that the basement made them feel creeped out and as we told Carl (the owner) from the first visit back in January that we didn't feel there was anything in the basement to be afraid of but high EMf’s making the help feel eerie and like they are being watched.
We had a few people who were on the tours and investigation send us pictures that they had took. Sarrah M sent us pictures of a shadow on a group of chairs downstairs. Robert sent us a strange light anomaly. Elizabeth and David sent us a nice picture of an orb that they took on the first floor landing looking up to the second floor of the Davenport. Our investigators Paul and Crystal caught an orange glow on the stone wall in the basement. We also caught a few EVP’s and yes we did get the Coo Coo clock twice that night. We also got an answer to who the little girl may be. All in all we had a great time showing you some of The Lobby Bars historic and paranormal past.
BE SURE TO BRING YOUR CAMERAS, CAMCORDERS, RECORDERS OR ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT YOU MAY HAVE. YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THE LADIE IN THE RED HAT MAY BE WASHING HER HANDS OR THE COO COO CLOCK MAY GO OFF. YOU MAY EVEN RUN INTO THE LITTLE GIRL UPSTAIRS SHES A FAVORITE OF OURS, OR THE LADY IN WHITE WHO HUNG HERSELF IN THE BASEMENT.
